Hafez Nazeri — Biography
Hafez Nazeri is a Kurdish-Iranian singer, composer and instrumentalist born in Tehran. He is the son of Shahram Nazeri and is associated with Persian traditional music, dastgah-based singing and cross-cultural composition. He has performed vocals and instruments including setar, tanbur and daf. His public catalog includes the Rumi Symphony Project: Untold, The Passion of Rumi, Mythical Chant and earlier concert recordings with Shahram Nazeri. His work often uses Persian classical poetry and Iranian musical forms with orchestral and international ensemble settings.
