Love song, not heartbreak

English uses one phrase for both; Persian does not. An عاشقانه is addressed to someone present, or to the idea of devotion itself — it can be joyful, calm or intense, but it is not mourning. Songs about loss belong to the sad chart, which is the larger of the two by some margin.

Why the vocabulary is so deep
