About FarsiChart — The Persian & Iranian Music Chart

FarsiChart (the Farsi Chart) is a free, independent ranking of the most popular Persian and Iranian music artists and singers, compiled every 24 hours from Spotify monthly listeners and RadioJavan plays. Here is who builds it, how it works, and how we keep it accurate.

What FarsiChart is

FarsiChart — also written Farsi Chart — is a free, independent chart that ranks the most popular Persian and Iranian music artists and singers. It combines Spotify monthly listeners with RadioJavan play counts and recalculates the ranking every 24 hours, so the order always reflects what people are actually listening to. Explore the full ranking on the FarsiChart homepage, or by platform on the Spotify chart and RadioJavan chart.

Who is behind FarsiChart

FarsiChart is created and maintained by Bardia Zadeh and has run daily since early 2024 as an independent, non-profit project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Spotify or RadioJavan — it simply organizes their public data into one clear, transparent ranking for the Persian music community worldwide.

How we rank artists

The primary ranking metric is Spotify monthly listeners — the number of unique listeners an artist had in the trailing 28-day window. RadioJavan total plays are tracked as a secondary signal, which matters for artists who are bigger inside Iran than on global platforms. The data is collected automatically every 24 hours from public artist pages. There is no editorial curation, no paid placement and no label influence — artists cannot pay to rank higher, and the numbers are the only thing that moves the chart. The FAQ covers the methodology in more detail.

What we track

FarsiChart currently follows roughly 259 Persian and Iranian artists across rap & hip-hop, pop and classic/traditional music, on both Spotify and RadioJavan. You can explore the data by genre — Persian rap, Persian pop, Persian classic — by platform, or browse every artist profile with their full streaming history.

Accuracy and corrections

Our goal is to be the most transparent source of Persian music statistics anywhere. Rankings reflect only the numbers — nothing is hand-picked, and no artist has ever been moved for commercial reasons. If you believe a data point is wrong, message us on Instagram and we will verify it against the source platform, usually within 48 hours.

Free and community-driven

Viewing the chart, every genre ranking and all artist profiles is completely free, with no account required. New artists are added through community submissions, so the chart grows with the scene. A free personal-tracking feature is also on the way — you can preview it on the FarsiChart Pro page.
