The Persian Rap Chart — Who Is Actually Being Streamed
Persian rap moves faster than any other corner of Iranian music. A track can go from a Telegram link to a hundred thousand plays in a fortnight, and the names at the top of this chart are rarely the names that were there last season. This page ranks Iranian rappers and hip-hop artists by what people actually press play on — Spotify monthly listeners and RadioJavan plays — rather than by reputation, label push, or anyone's opinion of who deserves the spot. FarsiChart tracks 407 Iranian artists across Spotify and RadioJavan in total.
What the rap chart looks like today
As of November 3, 2026, Arta currently leads Koorosh by roughly 11,800 monthly listeners — close enough that one strong release could erase it inside a week. The whole top 10 sits inside a band of about 82,400 listeners; the tighter that band, the faster positions change hands. One thing only two numbers side by side will tell you: the largest follower base here belongs to Amir Tataloo, who sits at #4 by monthly listeners — followers measure loyalty banked over years, monthly listeners measure who is being played right now.
How Iranian rappers are ranked here
Two public numbers decide the order, and nothing else does. Spotify monthly listeners count unique people who played an artist in the last 28 days. RadioJavan plays count how often their catalogue was streamed on the platform most Persian rap listeners inside Iran actually use. Both are pulled fresh every 24 hours. Nobody buys a position, no label is consulted, and an artist who releases nothing for a month will drift down the list because the numbers say so.
Reading the Persian rap scene through the numbers
Rap is where the chart is least stable, and that is the interesting part. Established names hold large follower counts built over a decade, while newer artists spike hard on monthly listeners after a single release and then settle. Watching the gap between an artist's followers and their monthly listeners is the quickest way to tell a career from a moment — a rapper with far more listeners than followers is being discovered right now; the reverse is an artist with a deep, loyal audience who has not put out a hit lately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the most popular Iranian rapper right now?
By Spotify monthly listeners, the current leader is shown at the top of this page and re-checked every 24 hours. Because Persian rap turns over quickly, that name changes more often than on any other FarsiChart list — it is worth checking rather than remembering.
How often does the Persian rap chart change?
The underlying numbers refresh every 24 hours. Positions in the top ten typically shift within days of a significant release, and the tighter the listener gap between neighbouring artists, the more often they trade places.
Does this chart include underground and independent rappers?
Yes. Ranking is by public streaming data alone, so an independent artist with no label behind them appears on exactly the same terms as anyone else. The only requirement is a public presence on Spotify or RadioJavan.
What is the difference between Spotify listeners and RadioJavan plays?
Spotify monthly listeners count unique people over 28 days — a measure of reach. RadioJavan monthly plays count how many times an artist was played there over the last month — a measure of repetition. An artist can lead one and trail the other, which is why FarsiChart shows both instead of blending them into a single opaque score.
