The Persian Pop Chart — Live Listener Rankings
Persian pop is the broadest room in Iranian music, and the only one where an artist recording in Tehran and an artist recording in Los Angeles compete for the same ears on the same day. This chart ranks Iranian pop singers by Spotify monthly listeners and RadioJavan plays, so a forty-year-old song that people still put on and a release from last Thursday are measured the same way: by how many people played them. FarsiChart tracks 407 Iranian artists across Spotify and RadioJavan in total.
What the pop chart looks like today
As of November 3, 2026, Shadmehr Aghili currently leads Novan by roughly 2,530,000 monthly RadioJavan plays. The whole top 10 sits inside a band of about 4,840,000 plays; the tighter that band, the faster positions change hands.
How Iranian pop singers are ranked here
Placement comes from two public figures and no editorial judgement. Spotify monthly listeners show how many distinct people played an artist over 28 days. RadioJavan monthly plays show how often they were played over the last month on the platform with the deepest Persian pop catalogue. The list rebuilds itself every 24 hours. There is no submission fee, no promotional tier, and no way to pay for a higher position — a singer moves up because more people listened.
Tehran, the diaspora, and one shared chart
Pop is where FarsiChart's numbers get genuinely surprising. Artists based abroad often carry enormous follower counts accumulated across decades of touring, while singers working inside Iran can post far higher monthly listeners without the same historical base. Neither is ranked ahead of the other on principle. Because the chart reads streams rather than geography, the result is one of the few places where the whole Persian pop world — inside the country and out of it — is lined up on a single scale.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the biggest Iranian pop singer right now?
The current leader by monthly RadioJavan plays is shown at the top of this page. Pop positions tend to be steadier than rap, so the same names hold the upper spots for longer — but the figures behind them are refreshed daily.
Are diaspora artists included in the Persian pop chart?
Yes. Any Iranian or Persian-language pop artist with public Spotify or RadioJavan numbers is eligible, whether they record in Tehran, Los Angeles, Toronto or anywhere else. Location is not a ranking factor.
Why do some classic singers outrank current pop stars?
Because monthly listeners count plays, not release dates. A catalogue people return to year after year can out-stream a recent hit, and this chart reports that honestly rather than weighting the list toward new material.
How is the pop chart different from the overall FarsiChart ranking?
The overall chart mixes every genre together, so rap and classical artists compete alongside pop. This page filters to pop only, which is the more useful comparison if you want to know where a singer stands among their actual peers.
