Shahrum Kashani — Biography

Shahrum Kashani (1971–2021) was an Iranian pop singer whose recording career also used the name Shahrum K. He began working professionally in 1990, and his debut album, K-One (1991), received support from Leila Forouhar and promotion by Alireza Amirghassemi. His second album, Atash, helped consolidate his early career. Rhythmic, dance-oriented pop became central to his repertoire, and he recorded for both Caltex and Taraneh. Later collaborations included songwriter and producer Ali Hosseinzadeh, who developed a continuing working relationship with him. Their recording work extended into Kashani’s final years, and material from that collaboration was also released after his death.
