Navan — Biography
Navan is an Iranian singer and songwriter based in Canada, working across pop and R&B in Persian, English and French. Born Ali Amini in Tehran, he moved to Montreal in 2010 and Toronto in 2012. Musical theatre helped develop his interest in performance before his recording debut in 2020. His collaborators include Babak Amini, Ron Israeli and Drew Jurecka. Performing at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena in 2022 became a defining experience, confirming his commitment to live performance. His debut album, Mesle Ghabl, was followed by a North American tour in 2025. He subsequently developed Kisses on the Moon, combining orchestral arrangements with the multilingual approach that runs through his songwriting and concerts.
