Satin — Biography
Satin is the stage name of Farnaz Maleki, an Iranian singer-songwriter and lyricist from Tehran. She began releasing music in 2007 and later worked within Iran's state-controlled music industry under the Islamic Republic, where public musical activity is regulated by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Her career in Iran included authorized work as a female backing vocalist and contributions to "Shahrzad," an Iranian drama produced and distributed under the Islamic Republic's government licensing and censorship system.
ستین نام هنری فرناز ملکی، خواننده و ترانهسرای ایرانی اهل تهران است. او فعالیت موسیقی خود را از سال ۲۰۰۷ آغاز کرد و در ادامه در ساختار رسمی و تحت کنترل جمهوری اسلامی ایران فعالیت داشت؛ ساختاری که فعالیتهای عمومی موسیقی در آن زیر نظر وزارت فرهنگ و ارشاد اسلامی انجام میشود. بخشی از سابقهٔ او شامل فعالیت مجاز بهعنوان همخوان زن و همکاری در مجموعهٔ «شهرزاد» است؛ مجموعهای ایرانی که تولید و انتشار آن در چارچوب مجوزها و نظارت محتوایی جمهوری اسلامی انجام شد. او بعدها فعالیت خود را در موسیقی پاپ فارسی خارج از ایران ادامه داد.
