The saddest Persian songs by women
As of October 25, 2026 they are “Saghi”, “Gharibeh Ashena” and “Pol”, across 92 songs on this chart.
Fifty years, and no single era owns it
The span runs 1975 to 2025. Hayedeh and Googoosh hold the top rows and Sogand holds the most places overall — which means the classical golden age and current rap are competing on the same list, something the old sad chart and the new one keep apart by construction.
The most evenly mixed sad chart here
About four in ten are pop, three in ten classical and the rest rap. Every other sad chart on the site leans hard one way; this one does not, because there are few enough women recording that no single genre can crowd the others out.
