Mahasti — Biography

Mahasti was the stage name of Eftekhar Dadehbala, an Iranian singer born in Tehran in 1946. She was active from the 1960s until her death in 2007 and worked across Persian classical music, folk-influenced songs, Persian pop and jazz-influenced material. She was the younger sister of Hayedeh. Her career began through the Golha radio program, and her recorded catalog includes songs and albums such as Parandeye Mohajer, Moj, Tanine Solh, “Az Khoda Khasteh” and “Meykhooneh Bisharabeh.”

مهستی، نام هنری افتخار دده‌بالا، خواننده ایرانی متولد تهران در سال ۱۹۴۶ بود. او از دهه ۱۹۶۰ تا زمان درگذشتش در سال ۲۰۰۷ فعالیت داشت و آثارش موسیقی کلاسیک ایرانی، ترانه‌های محلی، پاپ فارسی و آثاری با تأثیر جَز را در بر می‌گرفت. مهستی خواهر کوچک‌تر هایده بود و فعالیت حرفه‌ای خود را از برنامه رادیویی «گل‌ها» آغاز کرد. در کارنامه او آثاری مانند Parandeye Mohajer، Moj، Tanine Solh، «Az Khoda Khasteh» و «Meykhooneh Bisharabeh» دیده می‌شود.
