Marjan — Biography
Marjan was the stage name of Shahla Safi Zamir, an Iranian singer and actress born in Tehran in 1948. She acted in Iranian cinema before the 1979 Revolution and later became associated with Persian pop songs. Her public catalog includes songs such as “Kavir-e Del,” “Sang-e Khara,” “Gol-e Gandom” and other recordings from the pre-revolutionary and diaspora periods. After the revolution, she was imprisoned for political reasons and later lived outside Iran. She died in Los Angeles in 2020.
مرجان، نام هنری شهلا صافیضمیر، خواننده و بازیگر ایرانی متولد تهران در سال ۱۹۴۸ بود. او پیش از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ در سینمای ایران بازی کرد و سپس با ترانههای پاپ فارسی نیز شناخته شد. در کارنامه عمومی او قطعههایی مانند «Kavir-e Del»، «Sang-e Khara»، «Gol-e Gandom» و آثار دیگر از دوره پیش از انقلاب و مهاجرت دیده میشود. پس از انقلاب، به دلایل سیاسی زندانی شد و بعدتر خارج از ایران زندگی کرد. او در سال ۲۰۲۰ در لسآنجلس درگذشت.
