Kourosh Yaghmaei — Biography

Kourosh Yaghmaei is an Iranian singer-songwriter, guitarist, composer and producer born in Shahrud and raised in Tehran. He began his solo career in the early 1970s and is associated with Iranian rock, folk rock, psychedelic rock, progressive rock and pop. His 1973 single “Gol-e Yakh” is one of the works most closely tied to his public catalog. His discography also includes albums such as Gol-e Yakh, Hajm-e Khali, Sarab-e To and Malek Jamshid, as well as the compilation Back from the Brink: Pre-Revolution Psychedelic Rock from Iran: 1973–1979.

کورش یغمایی خواننده، ترانه‌سرا، گیتاریست، آهنگساز و تهیه‌کننده ایرانی است که در شاهرود به دنیا آمد و در تهران بزرگ شد. فعالیت انفرادی او از اوایل دهه ۱۹۷۰ آغاز شد و آثارش در محدوده راک ایرانی، فولک‌راک، راک سایکدلیک، پراگرسیو راک و پاپ قرار می‌گیرد. قطعه «گل یخ» در سال ۱۹۷۳ از آثار اصلی کارنامه عمومی اوست. آلبوم‌هایی مانند Gol-e Yakh، Hajm-e Khali، Sarab-e To و Malek Jamshid و مجموعه Back from the Brink: Pre-Revolution Psychedelic Rock from Iran: 1973–1979 در کارنامه او ثبت شده‌اند.
