Aref — Biography
Aref was the stage name of Aref Arefkia, an Iranian pop singer and former actor. He was associated with Persian pop and romantic song forms from the 1960s onward. His first widely documented hit was “Daryacheye Noor,” and his catalog also includes songs such as “Soltane Ghalbha,” “Bagh-e Darya,” “Persian Gulf” and later singles released in the diaspora period. After the 1979 Iranian Revolution, he left Iran and lived first in London and later in Los Angeles. Public music listings report that he died in 2026.
عارف، نام هنری عارف عارفکیا، خواننده پاپ و بازیگر پیشین ایرانی بود. او از دهه ۱۹۶۰ با پاپ فارسی و ترانههای عاشقانه شناخته شد. نخستین اثر بسیار ثبتشده او «دریاچه نور» بود و در کارنامهاش قطعههایی مانند «سلطان قلبها»، «باغ دریا»، «خلیج فارس» و تکآهنگهای دوره مهاجرت دیده میشود. پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ از ایران خارج شد و مدتی در لندن و سپس در لسآنجلس زندگی کرد. فهرستهای موسیقی عمومی درگذشت او را در سال ۲۰۲۶ گزارش کردهاند.
