Leila Forouhar — Biography
Leila Forouhar is an Iranian singer and former actress born in Isfahan in 1959. She began performing as a child and appeared in Iranian films before building a music career. Her music spans Persian pop, dance and classical-influenced material. After the 1979 Iranian Revolution, she left Iran and settled in the United States. Her public catalog includes albums and songs released through diaspora Persian labels, and she performed at a Nowruz event at the Library of Congress in 2010.
لیلا فروهر خواننده و بازیگر پیشین ایرانی متولد اصفهان در سال ۱۹۵۹ است. او از کودکی روی صحنه رفت و پیش از شکلگیری کارنامه موسیقی، در سینمای ایران نیز فعالیت داشت. آثار او پاپ فارسی، دنس و قطعههایی با تأثیر موسیقی کلاسیک را در بر میگیرد. پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ از ایران خارج شد و در آمریکا ساکن شد. کارنامه عمومی او شامل آلبومها و ترانههای منتشرشده از طریق ناشران موسیقی ایرانی خارج از کشور است و در سال ۲۰۱۰ در مراسم نوروزی کتابخانه کنگره آمریکا اجرا داشت.
