Habib — Biography

Habib was the stage name of Habib Mohebian, an Iranian singer, songwriter, composer, arranger and musician born in Tehran in 1947. He was active from 1975 until his death in 2016. His work is associated with Persian rock, pop, country-influenced material and guitar-based songwriting. His 1977 album Mard-e Tanha-ye Shab established his public music career, and his catalog also includes “Shahla,” “Madar,” Salaame Hamsayeh, Hamraz, Bezan Baran and Khane-ye Koochak. He returned to Iran in 2009 and died in Ramsar in 2016.

حبیب، نام هنری حبیب محبیان، خواننده، ترانه‌سرا، آهنگساز، تنظیم‌کننده و موسیقی‌دان ایرانی متولد تهران در سال ۱۹۴۷ بود. او از سال ۱۹۷۵ تا زمان درگذشتش در ۲۰۱۶ فعالیت داشت. آثار او در محدوده راک فارسی، پاپ، موسیقی با تأثیر کانتری و ترانه‌پردازی گیتارمحور قرار می‌گیرد. آلبوم «مرد تنهای شب» در سال ۱۹۷۷ مسیر عمومی فعالیت او را شکل داد و در کارنامه‌اش آثاری مانند «Shahla»، «Madar»، Salaame Hamsayeh، Hamraz، Bezan Baran و Khane-ye Koochak دیده می‌شود.
