Masoud Emami — Biography

Masoud Emami is an Iranian pop singer, lyricist and composer from Tehran who began his artistic career through writing. He contributed to the magazines Taraneh Mah and Ettefagh-e No before Amoon Bede introduced him as a singer in 2005–06. That recording redirected his professional work towards performance, and his debut album of the same name followed in 2008–09. His second album, Dobareh, appeared in 2011–12. Alongside recording and concerts, Emami worked with the Iranian Songwriters’ Association and organised practical lyric-writing workshops. Romantic songwriting has remained central to his repertoire, while some recordings also explore social subjects.
