Abjeez — Biography
Abjeez is an Iranian-Swedish music group formed by sisters Safoura and Melody Safavi. The group is associated with Persian-language pop, rock, reggae and ska-influenced music. Its work uses Persian lyrics with band arrangements and has addressed social and cultural subjects. The group’s catalog includes the album Hameh and songs such as “Democracy,” “Eddeaa,” “Perfectly Displaced” and other Persian and multilingual releases. Abjeez has performed for Iranian diaspora and international audiences.
آبجیز گروه موسیقی ایرانی-سوئدی است که توسط دو خواهر، صفورا و ملودی صفوی، شکل گرفت. آثار گروه در محدوده پاپ، راک، رگه و اسکا با متنهای فارسی قرار میگیرد. موسیقی آبجیز شعر فارسی را با تنظیمهای گروهی ترکیب میکند و در بخشی از آثارش به موضوعات اجتماعی و فرهنگی میپردازد. در کارنامه گروه آلبوم Hameh و قطعههایی مانند «Democracy»، «Eddeaa»، «Perfectly Displaced» و آثار فارسی و چندزبانه دیگر دیده میشود.
