Pouran — Biography

Pouran was the stage name of Farahdokht Abbas Taleghani, an Iranian singer and actress born in Tehran in 1934. She was active from the 1950s through the 1970s and was associated with Persian pop, traditional-influenced songs and film music. Her recorded work appeared in Iranian cinema and radio-era music, and she performed songs written by composers and lyricists of the period. She died in Tehran in 1990.

پوران، نام هنری فرح‌دخت عباس طالقانی، خواننده و بازیگر ایرانی متولد تهران در سال ۱۳۱۲ بود. او از دهه ۱۳۳۰ تا دهه ۱۳۵۰ فعالیت داشت و آثارش در محدوده پاپ فارسی، ترانه‌های متأثر از موسیقی ایرانی و موسیقی فیلم قرار می‌گرفت. آثار ضبط‌شده او در سینمای ایران و موسیقی دوره رادیو حضور داشت و با آهنگسازان و ترانه‌سرایان آن دوره همکاری کرد. پوران در سال ۱۳۶۹ در تهران درگذشت.
