Toomaj is the stage name commonly used for Toomaj Salehi, an Iranian rapper and songwriter born in Isfahan in 1990. He is associated with Persian hip hop and protest music. His public catalog includes songs such as “Soorakh Moosh,” “Meydoone Jang,” “Normal,” “Fal” and other tracks addressing political repression, inequality and social issues in Iran. His public career has also included imprisonment and legal cases in Iran connected to his music and activism.
