Delkash — Biography
Delkash was the stage name of Esmat Bagherpour Baboli, an Iranian singer and actress born in Babol in 1925. She was active from the 1940s and became associated with Persian traditional music, popular songs and film music. She worked with major composers of Iranian radio and cinema, including Ali Tajvidi and Homayoun Khorram, and performed songs that became part of Iran’s mid-20th-century recorded music catalog. She also acted in Iranian films before her death in 2004.
دلکش، نام هنری عصمت باقرپور بابلی، خواننده و بازیگر ایرانی متولد بابل در سال ۱۳۰۳ بود. او از دهه ۱۳۲۰ فعال شد و آثارش در حوزه موسیقی سنتی ایرانی، ترانههای عامهپسند و موسیقی فیلم قرار میگرفت. دلکش با آهنگسازان مهم رادیو و سینمای ایران، از جمله علی تجویدی و همایون خرم، همکاری کرد و آثاری اجرا کرد که در کارنامه ضبطشده موسیقی ایران در میانه قرن بیستم ثبت شدهاند. او در سینمای ایران نیز بازی کرد و در سال ۱۳۸۳ درگذشت.
