Niyaz — Biography

Niyaz is a music group formed in 2004 by Azam Ali, Loga Ramin Torkian and Carmen Rizzo. The project is associated with Persian and Middle Eastern-influenced music, Sufi poetry, electronic production and world fusion. Its catalog includes the albums Niyaz, Nine Heavens, Sumud, The Fourth Light and The Best of Niyaz. The group’s work combines Persian, Urdu and other poetic texts with electronic textures and traditional instruments such as the saz and oud.
