Sima Bina — Biography

Sima Bina is an Iranian singer, composer, researcher, teacher and painter born in Birjand. She is associated with Persian traditional music and regional folk music from different parts of Iran, including Khorasan, Mazandaran, Kurdistan, Baluchistan and southern Iran. She began performing on Iranian radio as a child and later studied fine arts at the University of Tehran. Her career has included collecting, teaching and performing regional Iranian songs, with recordings and concerts focused on preserving folk repertoires and classical vocal technique.

سیما بینا خواننده، آهنگساز، پژوهشگر، مدرس و نقاش ایرانی متولد بیرجند است. فعالیت او با موسیقی سنتی ایران و موسیقی نواحی گوناگون، از جمله خراسان، مازندران، کردستان، بلوچستان و جنوب ایران پیوند دارد. او از کودکی در رادیو ایران اجرا کرد و بعدتر در دانشگاه تهران هنرهای زیبا خواند. کارنامه او شامل گردآوری، آموزش و اجرای ترانه‌های محلی ایران است و آثار و کنسرت‌هایش بیشتر بر حفظ و بازخوانی رپرتوارهای نواحی و تکنیک آواز ایرانی متمرکز بوده‌اند.
