Faramarz Assef — Biography
Faramarz Assef is an Iranian singer, songwriter, architect and former athlete born in Abadan in 1950. He was also a triple jumper and won a bronze medal at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran. His music career is associated with Iranian pop and began in Los Angeles after his studies at the University of Southern California. Public sources list his music work from the late 1970s onward, including the AFRA album series and songs such as “Haji,” “Gharibeh,” “Delam Ounjast Hanouz,” “Akhare Zamoun” and “Be Souz Ay Del.”
فرامرز آصف خواننده، ترانهسرا، معمار و ورزشکار پیشین ایرانی متولد آبادان در سال ۱۹۵۰ است. او در رشته پرش سهگام فعالیت داشت و در بازیهای آسیایی ۱۹۷۴ تهران مدال برنز گرفت. فعالیت موسیقی او در حوزه پاپ ایرانی قرار میگیرد و پس از تحصیل در دانشگاه کالیفرنیای جنوبی در لسآنجلس دنبال شد. منابع عمومی آثار او را از اواخر دهه ۱۹۷۰ به بعد ثبت کردهاند و در کارنامهاش مجموعه آلبومهای AFRA و قطعههایی مانند «Haji»، «Gharibeh»، «Delam Ounjast Hanouz»، «Akhare Zamoun» و «Be Souz Ay Del» دیده میشود.
