Morteza — Biography
Morteza is an Iranian singer and composer from Tehran whose recording career began with film songs. He entered Tanin Studio at sixteen and by his mid-twenties had sung around sixty film songs. Eshghe Zoodgozar, a song composed by Parviz Maghsadi, marked an early milestone. After relocating to the United States in 1981, Morteza continued working in California. Adaptations of regional Iranian songs, including Dayeh Dayeh, became an important part of his later repertoire. His professional activities also encompass songwriting, composition and graphic design for album covers. In Los Angeles, he established the House of Iranian Culture as a venue for artistic and cultural work.
