Simin Ghanem — Biography

Simin Ghanem is an Iranian singer whose career spans Persian pop and traditional vocal music. From Tonekabon, she began singing as a child and later moved from school singing competitions into professional television appearances. Her musical education included work with Ali Tajvidi and Morteza Hannaneh. Collaborations with composers such as Fariborz Lachini, Homayoun Khorram and Babak Bayat helped establish her recorded repertoire, with Gol Goldoun becoming a lasting signature of her career. After an extended interruption, she returned to concert performance in Iran. Her later work also developed beyond interpreting other composers: she began writing melodies, sometimes supplying the words herself, and created songs intended specifically for children.
